Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

1. Overview

RecRoomArchive ("we", "us", or "our") is a volunteer-run project dedicated to preserving the history of Rec Room. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and related services (the "Site"), and how we use it. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

Some of our efforts, such as Radium, are separate projects with their own accounts, features, and data practices. Where a project maintains its own privacy policy, that policy governs your use of that project in addition to this one, see Section 11.

2. Information We Collect

We do not require an account to browse the Site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Usage data: basic, aggregated analytics such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location, used to understand how the Site is used.

  • Voluntarily provided information: anything you choose to share with us directly, such as messages sent through our Discord servers, GitHub issues, or contact links.

  • Third-party account data: if you interact with us through Discord, GitHub, or Ko-fi, those platforms have their own privacy policies governing the data they collect.

3. How We Use Information

Any information we collect is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our archival projects, to respond to inquiries, and to understand how our community grows. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

The Site may use minimal cookies or similar technologies necessary for basic functionality and anonymized analytics. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so should not meaningfully affect your ability to use the Site.

5. Third-Party Services

Our community and infrastructure rely on third-party services, including Discord, GitHub, and Ko-fi. When you use these services to interact with us, your information is also subject to their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies directly.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Community messages (e.g. on Discord or GitHub) are retained according to those platforms' own policies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make such a request, contact us using the details below. Requests concerning a specific project's data (such as your Radium account) should be directed to that project's own contact, as described in its privacy policy.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, reach out to us on our Discord or through our Email channel..

11. Our Projects

RecRoomArchive operates and supports individual preservation projects, including Radium. These projects may involve accounts, gameplay, and technical data (such as device identifiers or IP addresses) beyond what this Site collects, and are governed by their own, more specific privacy policies. Where a project's policy conflicts with this one on a matter specific to that project, the project's policy controls. You can find Radium's privacy policy at radie.app or through the project directly.
